It’s not everyday I go to Putrajaya, but once in a while I drive to Putrajaya to see my friends there. But I really didn’t know this bridge is called Seri Saujana Bridge or in Malay ‘Jambatan Seri Saujana’. A typical but a nice name.

Hotel Nikko
22 11 2009Hotel Nikko is a five-star business class hotel located at Jalan Ampang, right in the midst of Kuala Lumpur city’s Golden Triangle. The business, shopping and entertainment centers are within walking distance from Hotel Nikko. Its main advantage lies in the fact that the hotel is a very short distance away from Malaysia ‘s famous Petronas Twin Towers , and the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). The hotel boasts of exemplary service that their staff bestows upon its guests every single time they visit to stay.
The hotel has 468 guest rooms and are all generously furnished with daily amenities and other room features like a fully stocked mini bar & refrigerator, wide-screen color television with international channels for news & movies and et cetera. The rooms are also equipped with wireless Internet connection that guests can utilize for MYR50 per 24 hours. Rooms located on Levels 24 to 30 are personally attended to by the Nikko floor manager and his efficient team.
The Lobby Lounge is at the ground floor and is set next to the Lobby Waterfall; providing a tropical atmosphere where guests can enjoy their food and beverages and even browse through a fine selection of cigars. Meeting and banquet facilities provide just the space for leisure and corporate functions. The Grand Ballroom can accommodate 800 to 1300 guests, depending on the category of events that take place. The Junior Ballroom is another option and seats 180 to 230 guests at any one time. Function rooms are also available for smaller scaled meetings & seminars and seat 30 to 40 people; complete with conference equipment of sorts. For business assistance, there is a Business Centre on Level 1 for all your faxing and e-mailing needs. Office equipment is available to rent and guests can hire interpreters when in need of translation.
The Hotel Nikko Executive Lounge is at Level 26 and essentially caters to offer the best experience in relaxation and service. It offers free wireless Internet connection for all corporate guests who will need quick access to keep up to date on the progress of their businesses. Free food and beverages are made available throughout the day and only Executive Nikko Floor guests have the convenience of checking in and out of the hotel from the 26 th floor lounge.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
BENKAY JAPANESE RESTAURANT
This restaurant serves traditional and excellent Japanese cuisine in an equally matched ambience. There is a small waiting area and Japanese garden that separates the restaurant’s reception and dining area. Hungry patrons can feast on authentic Japanese cuisine that is flown in twice weekly. Benkay Restaurant is open everyday 12pm to 230pm, and 630pm to 1030pm.
TOH LEE CHINESE RESTAURANT
Toh Lee Restaurant , like its name, symbolizes prosperity. It offers a range of delicacies originating from Beijing and Sichuan , with a twist of fusion. Earthy tones make up most of the restaurant’s interior and it has a total capacity of 208 seats. The spacious capacity is divided into six private dining rooms: Mui Fah, Sui Sin, Cheng Lin, Hai Tong, Pak Hup and Toh Fah. Renowned Executive Sous Chef cooks up a feast with passion that never ceases to artistically impress. Toh Lee Restaurant is open for lunch every Monday to Friday from 12pm to 230pm, dinner at 630pm to 1030pm and 11am to 230pm on weekends.
CAFÉ SERENA BRASSERIE
It offers a breathtaking view of the Lobby Waterfall that accompanies a delicious varied menu of international and local delights. The café seats up to 168 guests and regularly hosts International Food Promotions as well as festive promotions like Valentine’s Day and Easter Day. All meal times are arranged buffet style and open for business at the following times: breakfast at 6am to 1030am, lunch from 12pm to 230pm, dinner at 7pm to 1030pm and high tea on Saturdays & Sundays only from 12pm to 4pm .
BENTLEY’S PUB
An elegant English pub serving scrumptious variety of snacks as well as beverages in a casual and fun ambience, it’s the place to be for an informal business discussion or for relaxation after a hard day’s work. The pub is divided into three sections to cater to different patrons’ needs: the far end of the pub offers a quiet corner for conversations; comfortable sofas allow people to let their hair down and have fun, whereas the bar counter is where tired working businessmen hop onto a bar stool for that perfect pick-me-up beverage. Bentley’s Pub is open from Mondays to Saturdays from 4pm to 12am except on Sundays & public holidays. During Happy Hours, patrons get to enjoy all their beverages at a 50% discount.
RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
A generously sized swimming pool is set amidst lush greenery that make up a tropical climate-like environment. Guests are also able to work out at the Fitness Centre, which is located on Level 5; the same location where the pool is. Or pamper yourself at the Essential Spa, the right place to be for traditional massage therapy in a similarly soothing atmosphere for pure rejuvenation.
